Poetry: Shadows Lurk

Poetry Shadows Lurk

Poetry that I have written for my lovely wife, Rebecca. Presented today for the first time anywhere! Visit her blog at My Faces of Life.

Broken notes
from
little hands
trembling
sweating
escaping across
the
virgin lands.

But
no one heard
no one stirred
when
as the
mournful
notes subside
as the angel
quiet
cried
as her
spirit slowly
died.

Nightmare notes
sound
the dread
echo terror
within her
head
shadows
lurk
and shadows
fall
shadows
vile
beyond the
wall.

Mournful notes
choke
the air
demons tangle
where they
care
terror song
notes of
her terror
notes of
despair.

Poetry: Time It Fades

Poetry Time It Fades

Poetry that I have written for my lovely wife, Rebecca. Presented today for the first time anywhere! Visit her blog at My Faces of Life.

There are many who long persist
pondering on what they have missed
and so they sit and sadly dwell
upon past dreams that cast no spell.

And those who on the future muse
whose fortune is for them to choose
missing moments their present sum
dreaming of days that never come.

Others settle on when and how
to live within the here and now
live each moment as their last
Ignore the future and the past.

But when I gaze into your eyes
it’s there I wonder all my whys
so in them life comes into view
so time it fades becoming you.

Poetry: And More

Poetry And More

Poetry that I have written for my lovely wife, Rebecca. Presented today for the first time anywhere! Visit her blog at My Faces of Life.

Swift across
the forest floor
running
with her fear
looking for
a long ago
a chamber tomb
buried there.

See her trance
see her gaze
she knows she’s
near
where sorrow
stays.

Through trusted woods
past silent trees
to the stillness of
the lake
she silent prays
on bended knee
her soul
for God to take.

Weak from desolations
rage from desolations
wrath
sickly from the
rotting stench
strewn across her path.

Defended by hounds
of hell
beyond that
fiery blaze
Mother knows where
sorrow lives
where it hides
and plays.

Hear the echoes
hear the cries
beyond
the shore
sweet intention
dies.

Such memories
illusions meant
for days
that never were
delusions cast
into a grave
from which
they’ll never stir.

Within the depths
of trusted woods
nearest to the shore
she keeps a secret
to herself and more
and more and more.

Poetry: Me And You

Poetry Me and You

Poetry that I have written for my lovely wife, Rebecca. Presented today for the first time anywhere! Visit her blog at My Faces of Life.

Let me reside
within your room
gather the anguish
gather the gloom
cast them far
with a spell
into the fiery
depths of hell.

Let me rest
my weary head
upon your pillow
upon your bed
and gaze into
your loving eyes
hold you until
the dawn arrives.

Let me abide
within your heart
to never leave
to never part
grow a love
pure and true
within a place
called me and you.

Poetry: Alone Until Dawn

Poetry Alone Until Dawn

Poetry that I have written for my lovely wife, Rebecca. Presented today for the first time anywhere! Visit her blog at My Faces of Life.

My tears are flowing
flow just for you
nothing to stop them
nothing I do.

Time moving slowly
slow it moves on
alone without you
alone until dawn.

The rain is falling
falls on the ground
relief is nowhere
relief can’t be found.

My mind is drifting
drifts with the rain
alone in sorrow
alone in pain.

sad poem
