Poetry: This Art

Poetry This Art

Poetry that I have written for my lovely wife, Rebecca. Presented today for the first time anywhere! Visit her blog at My Faces of Life.

Whisper to me
share your essence
speak in earnest
under the moon
mutely it gazes
as silent witness
stoic its promise
even as your
hypnotic voice
wondrous words
falls in shadows

where I worship
silently in wonder
in adoration of
such deep secrets
where I kneel
spent in rapture
over pictures
drawn by you
painted by you
etched by you

this art bleeds
silently beside me
laid before me
impressions of you
in the abstract
all these realities
reflections drawn
mirrors of images
which echo beyond
your sighs explode
like distant stars
that break away
escape and hurl
so far and fast
into the dark cosmos
oh the wonder!

Poetry: Over Shadows Ruling

Poetry Over Shadows Ruling

Poetry that I have written for my lovely wife, Rebecca. Presented today for the first time anywhere! Visit her blog at My Faces of Life.

Subtly emerging through dawn ascends
silently advancing in cold morning mist
solemnly relieving sentinels of darkness
dour guardians retreat their duties done.

Sovereign resplendent steady she eases
an ancient inviolate purpose so timeless
the sage hot sun resolutely commanding
swiftly brightens satin gray wistful skies.

Black legion of pools swiftly imprisoned
hostages of the growing light and heat
sentinels beset besieged by maneuvers
superior forces their capture obtained.

Bright illuminating over shadows ruling
whimsical sun seeming in her dominion
still resolutely ruling eternal the darkest
among the far hidden regardless the way.

Poetry: Skin To Skin

Poetry Skin to Skin

Poetry that I have written for my lovely wife, Rebecca. Presented today for the first time anywhere! Visit her blog at My Faces of Life

Can you feel me
watching you
from across
the room
from the shadows.

I see you
your absinthe eyes
smoky windows
your essence
in the dark
your form
body of my body

guarded
by a silent moon.

Come to me
bring me
your worlds
your divinities
your essence
that I may
protect them
bring me
your calamities
your tragedies
your heartaches
that I may
eviscerate them

cast them
into oblivion.

Embrace me
touch my body
feel how my
skin burns
for you
how my
heart pounds
for you
how I sweat
for you

cling to me
clutch me.

Let me taste you
taste your lips
upon mine
feel how they
quiver
for you
feel how our
breath
escapes us
a hurricane
of need
of want
of desire
in our kiss

the sweet nectar
of our longing.

As the
crescent moon
casts his
jealous gaze
upon your
rapturous face
I am undone
as we tremble
skin to skin
panting sighing
pulling you
tightly to me
I think to myself

“Ik ben thuis, (I am home)
Ik ben thuis!” (I am home!)

Poetry: In That Silence

Poetry I have written for my wife, Rebecca. Presented for the first time anywhere. Visit her blog at My Faces of Life.

I fixed my gaze
I fixed my stare
toward this girl
just standing there.

She was alone
she was a dream
her look forlorn
so it would seem.

I took a stroll
I took a chance
I went for her
I met her glance.

And all at once
the clouds blew by
the moon came out
of the darkened sky.

And side by side
a trance took hold
and in that silence
our truth was told.

Poetry: Swift To Hell

Poetry I have written for my wife, Rebecca. Presented for the first time anywhere. Visit her blog at My Faces of Life.

I shall lay waste to cities
fell mountains to rubble
drain oceans azure green.

I will melt arctic ice
eviscerate whole planets
shoot the moon dead.

I will vaporize the stars
pull the sun from orbit
tilt earth on its axis.

Aye, these things I’d do
to find the vile demon
that has harmed my love.

And if he should be
cold dead in the ground
lying there falsely.

Then to his coffin I’d go
crush him bone to bone
and send him swift to hell.
