Poetry: This Sanctuary

Poetry Sanctuary

breath
into my mouth
chant
ancient melodies
the whole
night
through
under the
dread moon

ease yourself
into this temple
built for you
by you
is you
where I worship
you in
veneration
adoration
reverence
deeply

where I kneel
humbly transfixed
by you
made whole
by you
entranced
by you
me
us

so many
silent musings
of
wiser meanings
deeper places
ancient gleanings

immortal traces
your sighs
a concerto
a poem
a theatre
of sensations
bursting forth
echoing thunderously
as lightning
from mighty
Zeus

this wonder
staggering in
its intensity
majesty
luminosity
possessing fully
this trance
permeating wholly
my intrepid
sanctuary.
