Poetry: Few

I’ll share the dreams
of mighty kings
of wealth
of might of lovely things
I’ll speak the thoughts
of simple men
of love
of life and beauty’s den.
I’ll paint a dance
of little girls
their grace
their spins their lovely twirls.
I’ll sing a song
of happy boys
their joy
their mirth their funny toys.
I’ll keep though
she inside of me
her smile her warmth
her melody
for though I try
to capture her
on paper
dull
my thoughts they blur.
So still I’ll share
and dream away
I’ll speak my thoughts
for all the day
I’ll sing the songs
which reside in me
but few my love
will learn of thee!
You have a gift for this kind of poetry I think. Romantic and loving.
It’s me in the purest form, writing about love that I know is out there somewhere.
It’s beautiful.
Thanks so very much Victoria. The way you write, I take it as a high compliment and it just makes me want to produce more!
I don’t write any better than you! But thank you. 😊 Definitely keep writing.
What a beautiful and carefree poem. 🙂
Thanks, I’m glad you got that feel
It’s a pleasure to read that kind of poetry!
Thanks again, your appreciation means a lot!
Lovely! And the rhythm and pace of it is almost like a song!
But you won’t hear me singing lol
Aw, come on! 😉
Nope
There is nothing more romantic than a man singing a love song, Rob! Even if its off key!
Yeah, no. I’ll opt for back rub, that’ll do the trick
Well that is a good option too!
Yes, especially with my hands
Nice!!!
And hot oil
Even nicer!!
Beautiful in its simplicity, emotions flow with so much grace .
Thanks Yaz! I appreciate your thoughts on this
Your welcome Robbie.
