My Sunny Side: Weather
I’ve decided to try a new feature in my blog: Sunny Side Up (I actually like over medium eggs lol) me trying to be my funny, sarcastic, positive, uplifting, grateful, off the wall self! I am going to show my positive side. My life is not all doom and gloom, And WovenEclipse helped me see that. So, thank you Rebecca!
Before I went to jail I used to let the weather affect me negatively. It’s amazing what being locked up even for just 5 months will do to your perspective.
It snowed very lightly and briefly this morning. I used to hate snow. I’m not saying that all of a sudden I am snow’s number one fan, but I can tell you, being able to be in the snow was a great feeling!
I took several pictures of various scenes the snow was creating. I felt the snow hitting my head and I breathed in the crisp fresh scent of it. I am so grateful for my freedom today! Freedom from alcohol, freedom from my abusive ex, freedom from jail.
Today I was grateful for the weather. I have been grateful for all of the weather since October 15th, the day I got out of jail. Take a minute to appreciate the weather, no matter what it’s doing. When you let the weather-nature-get inside you, it is then that you realize you are a part of something much greater than what’s inside your head.
I’m not a fan of cold weather or driving in snow, but there is so much I love about snow – the delicacy of each tiny flake, the beauty and stillness of a fresh snowfall, the laughter of kids having snowball fights or making snowmen or snowforts, the peaceful feeling of drinking a coffee, tea, or hot chocolate while watching it snow and you don’t have to go anywhere.
Thanks for the sunny side up post! Looking forward to more of them.
Thanks for reading me again! Makes me happy you are out there!
