Poetry: This Audience

Distant seagulls range
and fly
soar into the
morning sky

drift beyond
the cold
grim clouds
those testaments
those silent shrouds

calamities of
lovely ways
of retrospect
outside the haze

effortless they
seem to me
clutching wind
in revelry

and the sun
that silent sage
views afar
from on
his stage

this audience
of mellow flight
so we share
in this delight.
